Projects > Bainville Railroad Siding Wetland Delineation, Permitting, and Mitigation
Confluence was retained to perform a 209-acre wetland delineation and submit a Report of Findings to the US Army Corps of Engineers to obtain an approved Jurisdictional Wetland Determination. Following approval of delineated wetland boundaries, Confluence prepared and submitted a 404 permit application on behalf of our client outlining wetland impacts resulting from proposed construction of a railroad siding to support Bakken oil field activity. As part of the Individual Permit process, Confluence identified potential wetland mitigation areas within the site and developed a mitigation plan to offset proposed impacts. The wetland mitigation plan was approved by the Corps of Engineers and MT DEQ and a 404 permit was issued to the client.
