Projects > Green Mountain Wetland Delineation & Mitigation Monitoring

Confluence delineated wetland resources within a 640 acre parcel and identified 1.2 acres of potential impacts to mixed wet meadow/riparian areas and slope wetland community types in the path of roadways proposed for a residential development. A functions and values assessment of the wetland resources with proposed impacts and communication with the Army Corps of Engineers resulted in an agreement to establish a minimum of 1.8 acres of wetland habitat to satisfy mitigation requirements. Confluence identified a suitable mitigation site within the boundary of the project area, completed a topographic survey of the site, developed a detailed mitigation plan to establish wetland habitat, provided construction supervision, and guided revegetation efforts following construction. Detailed mitigation monitoring reports completed for three years documented the successful establishment of this wetland which met all mitigation requirements.
