Projects > Hyalite Elementary Wetland Delineation & Channel Relocation

Confluence conducted an initial wetland delineation and stream assessment on a property slated for construction of an Elementary School within Bozeman, MT. Confluence coordinated with the lead project engineer, City of Bozeman School District, and regulatory agencies to minimize impacts to a perennial stream that traversed directly through the project area. Confluence obtained necessary permits including the Federal 404 Army Corps, and State of Montana SPA 124 to relocate a channelized ditch into a meandering stream along the periphery of the school property. Confluence designed a C-type channel, floodplain, and adjacent wetlands and provided construction oversight to complete this project. The final results included a geomorphically stable stream that functions as a valued attribute to the elementary school campus.
